The combat and controls in the game are pretty simple. You have things like jump dodge, glide, ground, pound and spin attack, but with each world you unlock more features like the Karate Kid.

Other platform mechanics include things like riding on bubbles, bouncing on floats, walking on narrow planks, riding on boulders and swinging from fishhooks.

There's been tons of SpongeBob Games, but this one definitely stands out in terms of the graphics, what drew me to the game was actually the graphics and art style.

Gameplay

Learn how to ride a seahorse with Mrs. Puff and have to take down Mr. Crabs in a really cool train chase.

There's some cool mini games in this one, like a 2D fight scene, a subway surfer style car chase, and this other one like Whac-A-Mole.

Where you'll have to search ships to find the Flying Dutchman sucks. Overall, each level is unique and there's lots of optional areas to explore. So it kind of has an open world feel to it.

Levels

Through out each level you'll have to fight tons of jelly monsters, which, although there is some variety, they get kind of boring and tedious to fight it.

You'll knock a new costume for SpongeBob to play us. There's also all these additional costumes that you can buy separately.

I kind of wish you could play as Patrick or some of the other characters, but unfortunately that's not an option. There is some really funny dialog, though, between him and SpongeBob.

Today, I'm going to be reviewing SpongeBob SquarePants, The game starts as SpongeBob and Patrick encounter a fortune teller who sells the magical bubble soap, which, when used, accidentally destroys the fabric of reality and sends his friends into other dimensions. When played in full, the game is about 6 hours, so it's a pretty simple story. I'll be talking about the overall gameplay, some of the different levels and lastly, the characters.
