The main functions of your tactician is picking up items from the carousel and PvE rounds. The tactician also receives the damage upon losing a round, and once it reaches 0 HP you are eliminated.


In TFT you fight in a series of 1v1 battles. Win to do damage to the opposing Tactician, lose and you take damage.


All of the gameplay is automatic but things like board positioning and what units and items you have in will determine the outcome.


Gameplay

Buy XP points which will level you up; each level increase will allow another unit slot on your board. You can refresh the shop to get new units to choose from.


Getting gold and how you manage gold is huge in TFT. The more gold you have the more interest you get and with winning and losing streaks, you gain bonus gold.


There are two core strategies: slow rolling and hyper rolling. Slow rolling is playing weak early to get to 50 gold. Hyper rolling is spending aggressively to maintain HP and level fast.


Economy

Units are the characters you place on your board in TFT. Units can cost between 1 and 5 gold, the higher the cost the stronger the unit.


Each unit can have up to 3 total items. Getting the 3 best in slot items on your carry is very important in TFT and will be what propels you to the win.


Overall the whole point of TFT is to make the strongest board you can and getting better at the game requires you to learn more and more comps that work and how to play them optimally.
