There are three main components of overhauling a tank in Tank Mechanic Simulator. First, you’ll find yourself working on the tank body and turret, replacing wheels and drivetrains, as well as pulling other components for restoration.


Tanks aren’t going anywhere without a powerplant, and those need work, too. Players will learn how to teardown and rebuild engines, drain and fill fluids, and more. Once the job is done, you’ll of course have to put the engine back in the tank.


Tank Mechanic Simulator has a very robust tank customization system. You can deck your tank out in realistic camouflages, paint colors, decals and more. Design something after a real vehicle, or create something entirely fictional.


Overhauling

There are over a dozen tanks. Among my favorites is the German Tiger. The detail on this vehicle is great, and it just looks and feels massive. Its complexity is apparent when compared to other vehicles, especially with the track system.


Another favorite is the M8 Greyhound. Technically an Armored Car, this was the first vehicle I dug out of the mud in Tank Mechanic Simulator. It was also an early challenge to rebuild, but the payoff was huge. It’s also one of the few wheeled vehicles in the game.


It’s hard not to like the KV-2 with it’s gigantic turret. This Soviet tank was dubbed the “colossus” by the Germans, and was infamous for its thick armor and massive gun. It’s definitely a unique vehicle in Tank Mechanic Simulator.


Tanks

Tank Mechanic Simulator has three primary game modes. The first is the mechanic game mode. It’s the bread and butter of the game and where you’ll spend most of your time - repairing and renovating vehicles.


Tank Mechanic Simulator also features a tank recovery game mode. For this, you gather information on lost tanks and discover them in the field. It’s then up to you dig them up, clean them, and get them loaded for transport back to your workshop.


Once your tanks are fixed up, you’re free to jump into the test drive and shooting range. This is where you put your repairs to the test, and bring some of the greatest armored vehicles back to life. It’s incredibly rewarding to see your hard work come to fruition.
