One of the best things about One Piece Odyssey is the story in that you can experience all the famous moments from the series for the first time or re-visit them.

If you've already experienced One Piece there's also new content. Eiichiro Oda created new characters so there's a whole new story to experience. Keeping this spoiler free, I thought it was pretty fantastic.

The characters are the biggest highlight. Seeing the Straw Hats interact with each other along with their banter was really cool. There's also new original characters that Eiichiro Oda actually made himself specifically for the game.

Story Modes

One of the biggest highlights for me is the combat which resembles a Dragon Quest style combat.

The combat is really flashy and has a feel very similar to games like Persona 5.

They did an amazing job and I didn't expect them to put that much effort into the animations and UI.

Combat

Right off the bat, one of the first things people will notice is it's probably the best graphics done in an anime to video game adaptation.

I've not see it look this good and even people who are weren't fans of One Piece where immediately like "Wow!, it's very good."

Being a totally original work from Oda, I was really surprised in that you don't need to be too familiar with the franchise to enjoy it.

One Piece Odyssey

One Piece Odyssey was a massive surprise for me as being a huge fan of the franchise, I was expecting that only someone like me would like it but after playing it, I can see it as a great entry point for newer fans. If you like games like Dragon Quest XI or Final Fantasy, I think you'll really like the experience of playing One Piece Odyssey.
